Map of Tampa 1892 Tray
John Derian is a renowned designer based out of New York City who specializes in decoupage. His hand-made trays, paperweights, coasters, desk cups and more are made from vintage prints curated by John Derian and decoupaged onto glass by hand, then painted and signed by John Derian Himself.
This tray was produced from the original 1892 bird’s eye view map of Tampa by Augustus Koch. Koch drew the map by hand from a hot air balloon vantage point. It shows the downtown area, Ybor City, the Hillsborough River, Tampa Bay Hotel (now University of Tampa), as well as the Grand Central neighborhood. Image bestowed by the Tampa History Center.
